Bitter – English Bitter
ABV 4%. Fortitude “Edition” Bitter is a new edition every time we release it! We love English Bitter – one of the great session beers in the world. We’ve always admired how British brewers squeeze a whole heap of flavour into 3.5-4%abv bitters. With Edition, we get to play with different twists on the same […]
Toasted Lager – Pale Lager
ABV: 4.7% A pale lager with flavour? Yes, it’s possible. We achieve it by using the finest German pilsener malt, toasting a proportion of it in mum’s oven until it smells like bread and biscuits, sneak in a few secret ingredients and a generous whack of Wakatu hops to create a clean, malty, toasty lager […]
Bad Wolf IPA
ABV: 8.8% Those in the know knew he was coming, they just didn’t know when he would strike. Or how they would cope when he did. Bad Wolf is here. We’re not really into the nuclear arms race, “mine is bigger than yours”, 1000 IBUs, imperial, double, triple IPA thing. It’s an IPA. It’s got […]
Admiral Ackbar – Anti-Imperial Red Ale
ABV: 8.2% This is a big warming malty ale with a ton of Nelson Sauvin and Citra Hops, not too bitter, not an IPLA, just a big hoppy red ale. We thought about putting Mon Calamari in the beer, but we’re not a big fan of novelty for novelty’s sake.
Red Ryeding Hood
ABV: 4.9% We love red ales, big rich caramelly flavours balanced by huge loads of hops. In this case, Nelson Sauvin, Simcoe and Amarillo. Throw in the oily spiciness of rye, and ferment it with an unconventional yeast. Look out for her boyfriend, Bad Wolf Imperial IPA.
Dorian Gray – Baltic Porter
ABV: 8.2% Hedonistic, sensual, duplicitous – smooth and seductive initially, becoming intoxicating, then painful in withdrawal. As Lord Henry told Dorian, “the only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it. Resist it, and your soul grows sick with longing”. And at this point in the night, as we stumble home, […]
